The United Dioceses of Cork, Cloyne and Ross are looking forward to a series of very special services marking the beginning of the episcopal ministry of Bishop-elect Andrew Orr. Andrew was elected Bishop of Cork, Cloyne and Ross by the Episcopal Electoral College in June, succeeding the Right Rev. Dr Paul Colton.

The first of these occasions will be Andrew’s Consecration as Bishop, which will take place on Wednesday, 30th September 2026 at 3.00 p.m. in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin. Andrew will be consecrated by the Archbishop of Dublin, the Most Rev. Dr Michael Jackson.

Following his consecration, Andrew will be enthroned in each of the three cathedral churches of the United Dioceses.

The first enthronement will take place during Choral Evensong in St Fin Barre’s Cathedral, Cork, on Sunday, 4 October at 3.30 p.m.

The second enthronement will be in St Colman’s Cathedral, Cloyne, on Wednesday, 14 October at 7.30 p.m.

And the third enthronement will be in St Fachtna’s Cathedral, Rosscarbery, on Sunday, 18 October at 3.30 p.m.

These services mark an important moment in the life of Cork, Cloyne and Ross as Andrew begins his ministry as Bishop among the clergy and people of the United Dioceses.

Everyone is warmly invited to attend the Consecration in Dublin as well as the three enthronement services in Cork, Cloyne and Ross, and to join in supporting Andrew and his family on these special occasions as this new chapter in the life of the Diocese begins.
