‘ShineALight’ in Cork, Cloyne and Ross

In response to the ecumenical invitation of the three Cork bishops – Paul Colton (Bishop of Cork, Cloyne and Ross), Fintan Gavin (Bishop of Cork and Ross) and William Crean (Bishop of Cloyne) – churches in Cork, Cloyne and Ross (where someone from the parish could reach them during their 2km exercise or who lived beside a church) were lit up on Easter Eve. Lights were turned on after the Easter Vigil and remained lighting until dawn proclaiming ‘The Light of Christ’ – Christ is Risen!  This coincided with the national #ShineALight #ShineYourLight initiative in Ireland led by the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins.
