The annual Diocesan Chrism Eucharist for Cork, Cloyne and Ross was held today, Maundy Thursday, in the Cathedral Church of St Fachtna, Rosscrbery, Co Cork. Clergy of the Diocese, Readers, lay church workers and representatives from parishes all over the Diocese gathered with the Bishop, the Right Rev. Dr Paul Colton, for the blessing of the oils which will be used in the Church’s services of pastoral care and liturgy in the year ahead. Those present renewed their commitment to ministry. The address was given by the Right Reverend Dr Richard Henderson. Afterwards everyone enjoyed lunch together in the narthex of the Cathedral. Here are some photos:
