The annual Confirmation Morning with the Bishop took place on Saturday, 1st March. Confirmands from all over Cork, Cloyne and Ross who are to be confirmed by Bishop Paul Colton in 2014 gathered in St Luke’s Parish, Douglas. Bishop Colton said:
It gives them a chance to meet me, chat to me and ask me questions before they see me on their big day. By meeting young people from all around the Diocese who are being confirmed in the same year they realise they are part of a bigger story and movement that goes well beyond their own parish.
As in previous years there were plenty of games, workshops and hospitality.

The Confirmation Candidates 2014 from all over Cork, Cloyne and Ross gather for the annual Confirmation Morning with the Bishop. This year they made a group, personalised jigsaw and linked their names together in a paper chain.

Some of the Helpers at the Bishop’s Confirmation Morning 2014: l-r the Reverend Tony Murphy, Mrs Susan Colton, the Reverend Steve McCann, the Reverend Daniel Owen, the Reverend Brian O’Reilly and Mrs Karen O’Reilly.

Each participant created a personalised jigsaw piece which were pieced together to make a bigger picture, with open edges and spaces for other to join in – no closed edges.
