Douglas Churches Together, an informal ecumenical partnership between the Church of Ireland, Roman Catholic and Methodist Churches in Douglas, County Cork, joined in a Palm Sunday pilgrimage around their suburban district on the edge of Cork City on Sunday, 13th April.  A group of more than fifty paused for prayer, reading and song at various places in the locale before heading to two local shopping centres.

Branches are held up at the start of the Palm Sunday Douglas Churches Together procession in the Douglas suburbs of Cork.

At the shopping centres –   Douglas Court and Douglas Village Shopping Centre – they set up their banners and displays for Holy Week.  The stalls are being staffed by volunteers from the local churches throughout Holy Week.  Prayer boxes are available so that shoppers and passers-by can leave prayer requests.
